Mission:
To help parents become healthy spiritual shepherds through biblical education, spiritual counsel, and creative tools that foster family connection and conversation.

Detailed Vision:
We envision families where parents confidently and intentionally disciple their children, Scripture becomes an integral part of everyday life, and children develop a spiritual worldview centered on Jesus Christ and the truth of the Bible.

Core Ministry Promise:
We do more than just create Christian entertainment. We build bridges between stories and Scripture so parents can turn shared family experiences into meaningful, formative spiritual conversations. Families are encouraged to put biblical truth into practice through acts of love, service, generosity, reconciliation, evangelism, and Christian community. The ministry also provides free or subsidized resources to families, churches, missionaries, schools, homeschool communities, and underserved populations.

Statement of Faith:
Toon Into the Word Ministries affirms historic Christian beliefs and serves families and churches across evangelical denominational traditions.

Scripture
We believe the Bible (66 books) is the inspired written word of God, which points to the living Word of God (Jesus). The Scriptures remain trustworthy, inerrant in original intent, and are the ultimate authority for Christian faith and life.

God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return.

Humanity and Sin
We believe human beings are created in the image of God and possess inherent dignity and worth; however, humanity has been separated from God through sin and cannot restore that relationship through human effort.

Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, Christ provides forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and eternal life.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers, transforms them into the likeness of Christ, empowers healthy fruitful living, and equips believers for service. 

The Church
We believe all who place their faith in Christ are part of His Church and are called to worship God, grow as disciples, participate in Christian community, serve others, and make disciples.
 

Family and Sexuality
We believe parents and caregivers bear a primary responsibility for the spiritual formation of their families. They are called to shepherd their children in the truth of Scripture, teach God’s design for identity (in Christ), and model a life of faithfulness, holiness, grace, and obedience through the power and nature of the Holy Spirit.
 

We believe God created humanity as male and female and established marriage as a sacred, lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. We believe sexual intimacy is a gift from God intended exclusively for the covenant of marriage, and that all sexual activity outside of marriage falls outside God’s design.
 

We believe Christians are called to honor God with their bodies, and order their relationships according to the truth of Scripture. We also believe that God’s grace, forgiveness, and transforming power are available to all who turn to Him in repentance and faith

Christ’s Return
We believe Jesus Christ will return, physically and that His second coming will be filled with glory beyond anything our imagination could ever conceive. 

Charitable Purpose
The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for religious, charitable, and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Specific purposes include:
• Advancing the Christian faith through biblical teaching, spiritual counsel, and family ministry.
• Equipping parents and caregivers with resources and training for the spiritual discipleship of children.
• Creating and distributing religious and educational media.
• Providing educational programs, conferences, workshops, family events, church resources, and online instruction.
• Providing materials free or at a reduced cost to families, churches, missionaries, and underserved communities.
• Supporting charitable activities consistent with the organization’s exempt purposes.

Program One — The "Toon Into the Word" Family Experience
The ministry develops family discipleship encounters built around stories and media.
A typical experience includes:
• A film, animated episode, or book.
• Family counsel and encouragement 
• Bible Memory Verse Cards 
- Fun comforts and keepsakes 

The goal is to help parents move naturally from watching a cartoon together to opening the Bible, and reflecting on the truth of the Word. 

Program Two — Parent Discipleship Podcast and Training Material 
The ministry equips parents through family discipleship podcasts. The emphasis is practical rather than academic, helping ordinary parents confidently speak about God with their children.

Board Responsibilities
The board governs mission and doctrine, annual budgets, staff compensation, major contracts, intellectual property transactions, strategic plans, financial controls, fundraising accountability, and organizational policies. The board governs the ministry, while the Executive Director manages it; these functions remain distinct.

Founder Role
Responsibilities include protecting and communicating the ministry vision, creative direction, content development, strategic partnerships, fundraising, staff leadership, and oversight of media production. A founder may receive reasonable compensation for genuine services performed, provided it is approved and documented by disinterested board members.

Intellectual Property
Toon Into the Word licenses the IP of 'Bits of Light and the Colorful Music of Life' from Jonathan Trask. Licenses for characters and the imaginary world can be revoked by the IP owner at any time, and for any reason.

The nonprofit will not be used solely as a fundraising vehicle to subsidize a private IP.  

Financial Model
Toon Into the Word aims for diversified revenue through:
• Contributed Revenue: One-time gifts, monthly partners, major donors, church partners, grants, and legacy gifts.
• Earned Revenue: Books, curriculum, media, church licenses, and training workshops.

First-Year Ministry Goals
Primary Objective: Equip 1,000 families to intentionally disciple their children at home.

Supporting Objectives:
• Launch one complete WATCH • KNOW • GROW • GLOW family experience.
• Recruit at least 100 recurring ministry partners.
• Establish partnerships with 10 churches.
• Provide 250 ministry resources free or subsidized.

Measuring Ministry Impact
Impact is measured by the number of families actively using ministry resources.

Fundraising Case
Parents have the primary influence over their children's spiritual growth, yet many feel unequipped to move from church attendance to intentional daily discipleship. Toon Into the Word helps parents learn how to become healthy spiritual shepherds, who are confident in their faith and well equipped as they step into their God given responsibility.

We create Christ-centered tools helping families move from:
WATCHING (The family watches an imaginary story cartoon)
KNOWING (Parents open God’s Word, and read the true historical story of the gospel with their children) 
GROWING (Parents listen to a podcast, and grow deeper through spiritual counsel) 
GLOWING (The family grows together, through enjoyable tools aimed to foster deep connection and conversations)
